Solar variability, Solar dynamo theory, Sun-Earth connection and Space Climate.
My main current subject of research is the search for the physical mechanisms behind the variations in the magnetic field amplitude and velocity fields in the Sun. I'm currently working in the University of Évora in partnership with the University of Montreal in the development of 3D magneto-hydrodynamical turbulent dynamo models.
